Helen Peramatzis, Principal Consultant, ESR Technology Ltd
This Tech20 Virtual will describe how HOIS has been working with the OGTC on some of the most challenging inspection issues facing the energy industry including corrosion under insulation (CUI), external corrosion of uninsulated pipework and corrosion at trunnion pipe supports.
The talk will highlight the productive collaboration with the OGTC which has delivered industry leading guidance documents based on the results of extensive rigorously controlled blind trial programmes. The documents benefit from the wealth of experience of HOIS members and provide strategies for consistent and effective inspection across the sector.
Helen will also outline how the HOIS recommended practice for non-intrusive inspection (NII) of pressure vessels provides a structured approach to the NII process with the aim of facilitating consistency of application. Helen will highlight the recent launch of guidance notes, supported by OGTC, that promote effective application of the NII process. These guidance notes are specifically aimed at integrity, corrosion and inspection practitioners involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation phases of NII projects.
Helen will raise awareness of the ease of accessibility of this HOIS work.
