Speaker

Charlotte Hartley, Board Trustee, & 2050 Climate Group

At 2050 Climate Group, our ambition is to create a social movement made up of young leaders between the ages of 18 and 35, who come from different backgrounds and bring different experiences, but all share a drive to achieve a zero carbon Scotland.

As young people continue to strike from school and organisations like Extinction Rebellion continue to protest, the focus on climate change is intensifying and this is only set to deepen. Our world, lifestyles and economies rely heavily on high carbon fuels - transformative change needs to take place in order to reach net-zero by 2045. We need to engage in the conversation that determines how we get there. Everyone will play a critical role, particularly political voices to drive momentum and change policy, and in turn, we need STEM specialists to have the technological solutions.
