The Just Transition Commission has been set up to give advice to the Scottish Government on how to maximise the economic opportunities associated with meeting its ambitious climate change targets, while managing the risks and ensuring the transition to a net-zero economy in Scotland is fair for all.
In September, the Commission will hold its fourth meeting considering the future of the oil and gas sector and the opportunities and challenges posed for industry, the workforce, and the regional economy.
This event, held the evening before the main Commission meeting, will provide an opportunity to hear from members of the Commission and industry regarding the new net-zero climate target and energy transition in the context of the oil and gas industry.
