We invite you to a workshop that will identify potential applications and opportunities for additive manufacturing in oil and gas, and the barriers to making this a reality.

Additive manufacturing, commonly referred to as 3D printing, has enabled transformative change in industries such as aerospace and automotive. From prototyping to final production, polymers and metal powders can create seemingly impossible shapes. However, the technology is yet to reach mainstream adoption in oil and gas.

This workshop brings together oil and gas experts with additive manufacturing specialists to explore the technical, regulatory, cultural and skills landscape.

The event is in collaboration with the Manufacturing Technology Centre, part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which is at the forefront of technology innovation in additive manufacturing.

The outcomes of the discussion will be shared with all participants and a summary published on our website. It may also be used the basis for future research or test projects supported by the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, should promising opportunities emerge from the discussion.
