We are working together to help businesses implement circular economy solutions in late life operations and decommissioning, and marginal field development.

Zero Waste Scotland’s £18 million Circular Economy Investment Fund can fund up to £1 million per SME for commercialisation projects that advance the circular economy in the Scottish oil and gas sector.

The Centre funds technology and innovation, working with the oil and gas industry and academia to co-invest in projects that take new technologies from early stage concept right through to deployment.

This event will be most suitable for:

- SMEs with ideas for asset reuse, remanufacture and repurposing applicable to oil and gas
- Operators and oilfield services companies and their supply-chain
- Decommissioning solution providers and their supply-chains

Ray Grant, Environmental Director, John Lawrie Group
Ray will present information on the reuse opportunities and obstacles for decommissioned materials arising from subsea and seabed clearances. Focusing primarily on successful reuse examples undertaken by John Lawrie and how redundant materials have been effectively put to use in other industries with relatively little re-manufacturing or re-purposing.

The funding is part of the Resource Efficient Circular Economy Accelerator Programme, which is administered by Zero Waste Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
