Lord Dunlop, UK Government Minister for Scotland and Paul Wheelhouse MSP, Scottish Government Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy opened the new £180 million Oil & Gas Technology Centre in Aberdeen on 10 February 2017.

They joined leaders from industry, universities and local councils at the launch event to hear how the Centre – a core part of the £250 million Aberdeen City Region Deal – aims to become the go to centre for oil and gas technology in the UK and internationally.

Keynote speaker, Ian Constance, Chief Executive of the Advanced Propulsion Centre, accompanied by Sir Ian Wood and Colette Cohen, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, outlined the Centre's ambition to transform the North East of Scotland into a global technology hub.

Guests had the opportunity to learn more about our plans to become the go to technology centre for the oil and gas industry in the UK and internationally.

Our leadership team also hosted a series of breakout sessions to introduce our key areas of focus and showcase some of the many new technologies that we hope to deploy in the North Sea region to unlock potential.
